Frequently asked questions

Third party only insurance covers loss/damage to someone else’s vessel or property, it does not cover your own vessel.  Fully comprehensive includes a much wider level of cover for both third party claims and your own vessel.

Any experienced friends or family members can use your boat without being named on your policy.  However, if you are using your vessel for commercial reasons or you have paid a skipper or crew then please speak to one of the team as this is not automatically covered.

Please speak to one of the team on 0204 579 2080.  You will be sent a copy of our proposal form and we will ask you to complete the section ‘About Other Owners’. There is no additional premium for adding a joint owner.

Your third party liability limit will be noted on your policy schedule under ‘Section B’.

Your excess is the amount you will pay if you need to make a claim on your boat insurance policy.  It can be found on your policy schedule.

If you wish to cancel your policy mid-term, please contact a member of the team on 0204 579 2080 who will be happy to help.  We will arrange your cancellation and if you have bought a new boat we can also provide a quotation for you.  You may be entitled to a pro-rata refund of your premium minus fees.

If your vessel is laid up out of commission for the full 12 months of your policy then you may be entitled to a reduced premium.  Please speak to a member of the team.
